Gradus AD notifies of a registered outbreak of avian influenza in a breeding facility for parent herds for breeding eggs (adolescent parents and parents in the egg-bearing period), operated by the subsidiary company Millennium 2000 EOOD and located on the land of the village of Bolyarsko, reg. Yambol.
According to a preliminary assessment by the Management Board of Gradus AD, the expected losses, together with the lost benefits from the unrealized sales of breeding eggs for the next 12-18 months, are estimated at no less than BGN 25 million.
The management of Gradus AD emphasizes that this force majeure circumstance does not change the announced investment program of the group, but delays its implementation period.
The Company and Bulgarian Agency for the Safety of People remind that poultry meat and products harvested in a site where an outbreak of avian influenza has been established do not pose a danger to human health.
